Muharram 2016 (1438)

Today is the first day of Muharram in 2016 (1438 A.H).

Although Imam Hussain (PBUH) and his family and companions have not arrived yet to Karbala in such day but mourning ceremonies have got started at all over the cities in Iran as well as other countries by Shia Muslim people to follow Imam Reza’s mourning style for the martyrdom anniversary of the holy prophet Muhammad’s grandson, Imam Hussain. Imam Reza, the 8^th beloved Imam, said about his father, Imam Musa (Moses) Kazem (PBUH):

“No one could have seen my father’s smile when the month of Muharram came. Sadness was increasing in his face day by day till the tenth of Muharram [day of Ashura] and when the tenth day of Muharram would dawn, it would be a day of grief and weeping for him.”

A river in the heaven for AhlulBayt - Inna Fil Jannati Nahron Min Laban

Sami Yusuf, Islamic singer, releases his haunting new debut single “Inna Fil Jannati” from his new album Barakah (scheduled for release 01 Feb 2016). This beautiful traditional Islamic piece and poem is about the love for the Ahl al-Bayt (or household of the Prophet [pbuh]). 

In a narration (Bihar AlAnvar, V 44, P 194) from the prophet, its said that this poem is narrated by Gabriel for Imam Hassan (as) and Imam Hussein (as), sons of Fatiam (sa) while they were in cradle. 

Surely, a river of milk flows in heaven

For the sake of Ali, Hussein, and Hassan

Whosoever loves them

Enters Paradise without sadness

Love of #AhlulBeyt (prophets family) is obligatory to us

And with this love we do not fear tribulations

إن فی الجنّة نهرً من لبن
لعلیٍّ و حسینٍ و حسن
کلُّ من کان مُحبً لهمُ(و)
یَدخُل الجنّةَ من غیرِ حزن
حبُّ اهلِ البيتِ فرضٌ عندنـا
وبهذا الحبِّ لا نَـ‌خشی المِحَنْ

Hatred of Oppression - Sermon 224 of NahjulBalagha

Part of sermon 224 of Nahjulbalagha

By Allah, I would rather pass a night in wakefulness on the thorns of as-sa`dan (a plant having sharp prickles) or be driven in chains as a prisoner than meet Allah and His Messenger on the Day of Judgement as an oppressor over any person or a usurper of anything out of worldly wealth. And how can I oppress any one for (the sake of a life) that is fast moving towards destruction and is to remain under the earth for a long time?

By Allah, even if I am given all the domains of the seven (stars) with all that exists under the skies in order that I may disobey Allah to the extent of snatching one grain of barley from an ant I would not do it. For me your world is lighter than the leaf in the mouth of a locust that is chewing it. What has `Ali to do with bounties that will pass away and pleasures that will not last? We seek protection of Allah from the slip of wisdom and the evils of mistakes, and from Him we seek succour.
